our story

After becoming deeply inspired in University in America by a recommended book 'Start Something that matters" by Blake Mycoskie the TOMS founder, our founder Tom Tigwell began searching for a way to bring positive social change through his passion for business and nutrition.

Tom was getting more and more frustrated with the sugar-laden soft drinks he had been buying every day for their promised health benefits and decided to develop a mission-driven juice business to solve these problems.

January 2016 - Mission Juice is formed. Tom combines his passion of nutrition with the purpose for social change into the creation of mission juice.

February 2016 - The very 1st mission juice is created in the school cafeteria at Northwood University, West Palm Beach, FL with Beetroot and far too much ginger.

March 2016 - mission juice wins the Keiser University entrepreneurship competition which results in a TV appearance and inital funding.

April 2016 - Tom is invited onto regional TV in West Palm Beach, Florida to share mission juice with the local community.

May 2016 - Tom returns to the UK to start mission juice and immediately leads mission juice to the last 80/10,000 entrants in Virgin VOOM 2016, the UK's largest pitch competition. This involved Tom pitching to the founder of Jack Wills, as well as head of investment and managing director of Virgin. The competition led to meetings with national retailers and interest from an international retail group.

October 2016 - founder Tom takes a step back to develop the product according to very alarming statistics on sugar in juice and decides to introduce a range of 80% vegetable, 20% fruit juices that are low in natural sugar.

November, December 2016 - A prolonged stage of new product development to refine recipes.

March 2017 - The very 1st sale from Combe Grove Hotel in Bath. Preparation begins for April launch and new branding is released.
